Facts about Udaan Movie 2021

• The Surya- Soorarai Pottru (Udaan) Tamil-language movie which was released on Prime Video, was inspired by the initial events of Air Deccan and its founder G. R. Gopinath.
• The Indian censors gave the film a U (universal certificate, #DIL/1/29/2020-Che) after deleting several profane words. Also removed was the shot of a small boy holding a liquor bottle. Some of the censored words were replaced with appropriate words.
• Given the film’s aviation theme, the official site provided users with virtual boarding passes to the trailer launch on YouTube once they entered their names and email IDs.
• Suriya was on a diet of cucumbers and egg whites for one whole month to reduce his weight for the young character role.
• This film was director Sudha Kongara’s dream project ever since the director read an article on Capt. Gopinath in 2011, but went on to make the super hit Irudhi Sutra before starting work on this film.
• The song from the movie ‘Veyyon Silli’ was launched on SpiceJet Boeing 737 flight and the poster was unveiled by the Chairman of Spicejet, Mr. Ajay Singh.
• Air Deccan airlines name was used in the film as ‘Deccan Air’

An inspirational movie that is worth watching. If there is dream to fly, it doesn’t matter from where you come from, you can fly. Versatile actor Suriya nailed it. After Vaaranam Aayiram, this movie is too much realistic. Thanks to director Sudha mam. A female can also make a male-centric masterpiece! Co-star Aparna mam was awesome & too much natural! Soorarai Pottru is one of the best movie of surya.such an excellent making by sudha kongara.one of the most ablest thing is that G V Prakash’s music.Niketh Bommireddy’s cinematography is good for the movie.Such a great performance by Surya, paresh rawal, urvasy and aparna. Sudha kongara is a gem for the indian cinema.

Soorarai Pottru is definitely the best movie of Suriya. Everything in this movie is so perfect. Imagine a movie if it has Best BGM, Best Direction, Best Dialogues, Best Actress, Best Cinematographer, and the BEST ACTOR. That would be definitely Soorarai Pottru.
